I'm having a very pronounced bump that I can hear and feel when I turn to the right, it sounds like it is coming from the left side. Happens when turning sharply. How do I check upper ball joints?

Jack up the right wheel of the ground. Grab the tire at the 12 & 6 o'clock positions and wiggle it. Any lose play or wierd noises can indicate a loose wheel bearing or bad balljoints. Remove the tire if you need to get a closer look.

Inject grease into each balljoint via grease fittings. Watch closely for any movement of the parts when grease is injected. If they spread apart, it's bad and needs to be replaced. This method is extremely effective on tie rod ends and such.

This would be a good time to look for torn grease boots on all of the suspension parts and components. Grease your front end also. Pump grease into the parts until the boots start to swell. Do NOT bust the boots!

Might want to check your wheel bearings while you are at it.
