I have a Day/Night mirror in my '63 Valiant that is in desparate need of re-coating. It appears the mirror is assembled with all the little parts that change it from Day to Night driveing and the assembly is installed in a stainless frame or holder and crimped. How does it come apart without breaking the glass? Regards, RMDV. |

if you do manage to get it out of the holder, it can be resilvered, all the glass shops can either do it or send it out. Going rate is typically $1/sq.in. this includes the protective paint on the other side. They will charge you more for the stencil etching. That you may have to get done elsewhere. |
