About slant flywheel. I have 225 motor from year 1978. I tried to install a older (1961) flywheel to it, but it was not fit. The center hole OD is smaller on 1961 flywheel.

Can I mechanize the hole bigger? Is the bolt circle/sharing same on earlier and later flywheel?
Thanks.

I think what you are trying to do should work. - The center hub could be enlarged and Should fit - Can anyone else confirm ory deny this??

Doc??

Lets help this guy out - There probably are less slanters in his hometown than yours!

Yes you can bore the flywheel hole out. I have done it on my Dart.

Ok, thanks a lot. The bolt pattern was my biggest problem. I have also problems with fitting the bushing in the crankshaft. I got a clutch set with two bushings. One is little bit longer than other. Which one of those I should put in the crankshaft hole? Both of the them fit exactly on gearbox axle. Second problem is, that the crankshaft hole ID is little bit smaller than the bushing. Could I reduce the bushing OD? And what is the easiest and reasonable way to do that modifying?

Sorry. That was me..
Little bit longer (bushing) means about 1 inch.

Some of the later model cranks were not finished for a bushing. NAPA used to sell a bushing that fit unfinished cranks, or you can get a roller bearing for a V-6 Dakota truck.
