but I did it anyway. I ran my Valiant with the 150 horse jets in the nitrous plate. End result was an aggregate of a 1.70 60' time, 7:90@85 1/8th mile, and 12:64@103.75.

This was with my '66 Valiant 2 door post car, 232ci, 904, 3.55 Sure Grip 8-3/4, on ET Streets. :D

I am disqualifying myself as a street car though because it was run with an open header.

This was done today at RT66. Weather was decent, low '70's, humidity was in the 40's, and a 10mph dead-on head wind.

Nobody was paying too much attention when I uncorked the first time pass, but when I pulled in for the 1st round, there were lots of people watching. I did get some reports that it was pulling the left front on the launch. I can't say yes or no, but it was really cranking out of the hole.

Best part is that all the pieces are still inside, and I drove it on the trailer.

Dennis- was this with the new converter installed, or just stock.
If not, what improvements do you think the new converter will bring?

That was with the old Midwest 10" converter. I have the new one here, but I am in the middle of moving and am not sure when I will get it in.

I am not real sure what it will do with the new one. I am relatively certain it will speed up on motor and slow down on juice, but I have been wrong before too.

Wow, 1.7 60ft times, I like the sound of that.
Sooo.... how are those spark plugs looking, any signs of the "naws monsters" chewing away on the pistons? What timing setting (total) did you run?
DD

Pulled the plugs just to look and everything looked fine. Total timimg is set at 32*. I have a mixture of 100, 110, and 114 race gas in the car now. It smells real good when it runs.

I got my Cuda doing pretty good at 3250 lbs and a 170. Thur night I was getting 60 foot times from 1.757 to 1.816, on 10 passes. I was running open headers, also.

It's got ET Streets on it. It was hooking hard enough yesterday that it was supposedly daylighting the left front. I am guessing you would be worth at least .3 over me.
