Is there anybody here who is looking for an A-body 8.75" rearend? I have a guy trying to trade me one, but I dont currently have a need for it. It is under a '73 318 Duster right now. It has the small bolt hole pattern and the front wheels have the large bolt hole pattern so I don't know if it is original to the car. It has the 2881489 casting number. It will be complete, but at the moment I do not know the axle ratio.
I told the guy if I could find a buyer for it I will swap with him. I am located in Oklahoma. If you are interested, email me at tisenberg@hotmail.com or call 580-937-4527
Thanks

It is a whole rear end from hub to hub. Possibly even springs if needed.

 Post subject: 8 3/4" rear for A-body
PostPosted: Wed Jun 15, 2005 11:08 am
Hello again,
I don't have a computer of my own so I am slow to catch up on my email and posts. As I did not find a buyer for the rear and I did not need it we did not swap originally.
However, he called me again on monday and decided to rearange the deal more favorably. We swaped yesterday. I still do not need it so it is for sale or trade. It is complete from hub to hub. It has the leaf springs, break lines, and emergency break cables all intact. He was driving the car with this rear-end right up to and including the day we swapped so it should be good.
I am in the southern central part of Oklahoma as VDart said. I am not sure what year car the rear-end origanally came from. If someone could tell me how to tell its original aplication, I would be interested to know.
Thanks,
Toby
