Good day y'all, I spent the afternoon reading old posts and websurfing re. /6 225 short block numbers. Year One was worthless, no hits, etc. SO I gotta do the dreaded thing and say HelllllP! Here is the number set, so what is this block? I can get part of it ...yI know what 2806830-1 is, but what is: the casting number on the side of the block is 2806830-1 3371BH the stamp number on the top is H225R 12 7 the stamp number on the top side lip is 2B62 047 the bore is .040, and I know it is a "rebuilt" short block Many thanks for putting up with what has to be the most BORING question ever, until you need an answer! Dennis rock had a yardful that grew up and left home, except for three stay at home kids: '64 d100, '59 willys PU, '46 powerwagon |

| Post subject: | Thanks, D/W, I was asking..... |
D/W, Thanks! Yep, very useful for me to know it is a '72, at least. (How can you tell?) All the literature I reviewed seemed to stop with '74 models, and I had been told this might be a late '76. I can't decode these numbers as to factory, most likely kind of crank, etc. The guides I found about the numbers just don't let me get much out of these numbers on the block. Dennis |

Well, we know for a fact it's a forged-crank engine (2806830 is a forged-crank block, and you can't put a cast crank in it)... |
