Can anyone look up steering worm gear part number 2267454 and tell me what the steering ratio is? (26:1,24:1 or 20:1????????)

Thanks

24:1 gives you eighty-three turns of the steering wheel from full left to full right lock (OK, it's 5-3/4 turns, it just seems like 83.)

20:1 gives you 4-1/2 turns lock to lock, and is (in my opinion) perfect.

16:1 gives you 3-1/2 turns lock to lock, but is VERY heavy/stiff.

no idea where the part number is, it was on ebay with a part number... (original box)

Of course I couldn't find out what ratio it was until just after I posted......

Topless,
As Dan said, turn your wheel all the way to the left stop, then count the revolutions to reach the right stop.

Yes they still make them, but the are illegal in most places for usage on a street driven vehicule. Something about loosing control if your hand slips. Of course they are availale in your local tractor/farmer supply store...
