I am considering buying a set of hooker headers to replace my cliffords, since I have heard too many horror stories lately about them.

anyone here used them? I plan to purchase them through PAW since they seem to be the cheapest price.

from what I gather they are 3 into 1 style, which is what I want.

I have seen on other posts that some people have bought them and had to weld over some hole, because it was meant to be a stock type replacement. is this correct? I don't want to buy them if I have to modify them.

opinions anyone?

Is there anything wrong with the clifford's that make you want to replace them? If your interested in selling them, I might be interested.

If there isn't a problem with them that you can tell I wouldn't worry about the stories too much. Mine work great.

In my experience, Clifford makes the best headers out there. Their customer service is spotty, but the intakes and headers are nice.

The last set of Hooker Headers I had for a SL6 used a thin header flange that needed special thick washers to mount-up to the intake. It was not a fun header to install.

If you are worried about buying from Clifford, you can find them on E-bay from time to time.

the only thing wrong with my current set of cliffords is that they have been rusted out beyond hope. I live in minnesota and the car was once a daily driver.

I have seen a few on ebay now and then, but they have all been rusty. the last set that was sold was bead blasted, but if you looked close enough in the pictures you could see how rusty the inside was still.

I was just curious if anyone had used the hooker brand for the /6, and what the opinions on it were, since it was time to buy a new set for my duster.
