With no options and a 1/2 tank, start at around 3150-3200, then add for any options.

70valiant, You have to consider the year. The newer cars had more safety features like the 5mph bumpers, door crash bars and emmisions like cat convertors.
Here are some shipping weights(remember to add about 150lbs for real world).
'68 Valiant 2dr-2675lbs---mine weighs 2830 with 225, 904, no PS-PB-AC-radio, 1/2 tank
'70 Valiant 4dr-2790lbs---yours would be around 2925 with 1/2 tank, do you have any options or done any weight removal?
'76 Duster-2975lbs---185 lbs more than your '70, the aluminum hood/deck frame and the aluminum bumper reinforcements may be good for 50-60 lbs, the aluminum 833OD is a wash for the std 3 spd trans.
OK, I'll change my guess to 3050-3100lbs, 100 lbs less than my first est, still not as light as one would think a Feather Duster would be.

mine is a standard low budget model, it has power steering, CD player heavy 6x9s and a 100x2 amp, no A/C or power brakes. I am running an aluminum intake and headers, which saved me about 40 pounds over the cast iron manifolds. It has carpet which I think is heavier than a vinal floor mat. My slots only weigh 9 pounds each but the 235/60R14's arent light. and it has an 8 3/4 which is much heavier than the stock 7 1/4.
I think the 2975 for a 76 duster is a very conservative number. I think they are more like a 3300 pound car, which makes sense my front bumper is so light I would wager that I could bend it with my hands. the rear bumper I took off of the 74 Valiant was so heavy I could barely get it into the rafters of my garage. I agree that the feather was lighter than any other 76 duster but it really isnt a true light weight.

My 65 hardtop with 1/2 tank and (me and my GF in it...285 lbs total) weighs just shy of 3000ldbs at the scale.

Aluminum intake, lightweight 5 speed(less than 3 speed),,,light Cressida buckets , alloy wheels , mini starter, 7.25 rear, no fan,

Add weight for disc brakes,,,carpetted trunk, sway bar.
