Lou Madsen is running a Megasquirt. I'm sure he will chime in soon. If you run a 4bbl intake a plate system will be a piece of cake. ![]() |

i was hoping to modify a aluminum 1bbl manifold and use and mustang or other readily avail throttle body to cut cost if al esle fails it will be a 4bbl manifold and a plate i just thought a fuel injected slant would be cool |

I have two Megasquirted Slants. One with Holley 670 cfm TBI and one with MP-EFI on a modified Offy 4bbl intake with 24lb injectors and GM TB. Ask away... Lou |

I've got one of those stashed away in a corner for just that purpose some day. It might be a half step to learn how to get the megasquirt stuff working. I bet you could sell the intake and get back a little of your money when it came time to upgrade to the 4 bbl plate system. Another bonus is learning how to drill (or how not to drill) the bungs for the injectors on a $20 manifold instead of a $150 manifold. |

I have thought of doing the same thing on a 1bbl alum intake. I have used the Clifford 4bbl, which has inj bosses already cast in. Lou |

The only problem with modifying an aluminum 1 bbl manifold for EFI is that the hole under the carb is a bit on the small side. So you would either want to enlarge this hole, or weld it shut and put on a side mounted throttle body like Big Red's setup. Other than that, this shouldn't be any problem. |
