I HAVE 1964 DART GT 225 SLANT 6! THE TRANNY IS A 71 904 GOING TO A 8-3/4 REAREND ! THE DRIVE SHAFT I HAVE IS TOO SHORT ! BY THE WAY I GOT THE TRANS ,DRIVESHAFT AND 8-3/4 FROM A 71 4DOOR A BODY! MY "?" IS WHAT CAR CAN I GET ANTHER DRIVE SHAFT FROM? [[/url][/list] |

4dr and 2dr Darts are the same size in almost every dimension. You will need a shaft 1.75-2" shorter than your stock 7.25" rear used. Lou |

I remember reading something about the way a cars wheelbase was measured was changed - so a 64 with a 111" wheelbase and a 71 with a 111" wheelbase are not really the same because they were measured differently. Steve G. |

Center of wheel to center of wheel........... how many different ways can that be measured............... The only problem would be with different size tires front to rear, then there would be a very small difference measured from center of each axle vs center of each axle dropped vertically to ground then measured. |
