Hi Guys. I posted this slant six flywheel for sale, and now I am wondering if it is what I said it is. Do you know the spotting features of various slant flywheels? I said it is from an 80 Volare, but now I am wondering. The 80 Volare flywheel is what was in the slant with the 833OD tranny, and now I cannot remember any reason why it would not still be there. It seems this flywheel must be something else. I know I had a truck flywheel once, the one that goes with the big bellhousing with the low mount starter motor. I wonder if it is that. So back to the question, do you know the spotting features of each. I guess there is a chance it is a for a v-8, but I am pretty sure I never had a used flywheel for the v-8. |

Best way would be to put a Slant PP up to it (9.25 or 10"), which will not fit the bolt pattern on the V8 wheel. I'm not sure if the tooth count is diffferent? If you have a known Slant (or V8) flexplate, one hole is offset on the crank hub. The V8 wheels (except for 273) are bigger in diameter to accept the 10.5-11" clutches. Lou |
