"Dusty" got retired to the car farm a week or so ago. The costs of operating a 15MPG machine in today's gasoline market became too much to bear. I would like to keep her but it seems eventually I will need to sell her and it will be good for her to be in a place where she gets driven. I have happily graduated to a $400 '84 Subaru GL Wagon, FWD 5 Speed. Subarus have a legacy of legendary reliability as well and take a whole lot less gas to drive. She may not have the style of an old Mopar but what's a poor guy gonna do? Fare the well Mighty Mighty Mopars!

15mpg? Something else is broke if its that low. 18-19 is more typical, can reach 25-30 if you tried as the feather dusters did.

How much did the junkyard give you for the duster? You could of put a for sale sign on it and left it on the street to get more. I know the local junkyards here give like $10 for the car.

man, what a drag, sorry to hear you had to let her go. Propane conversion kits are an alternative down here, I don't think that's a pretty typical technology up there... Don't you dare selling it to a local yard, I bet you can get more money tearing it appart and selling the stuff by pieces... that way you can always keep a part of your beloved car with you. Mine gets 11 mpg in town (I have a heavy foot and poorly geared reared end that ain't mathces the tires I´m using) plus is rich rich. cruising however I get 20 mpg so I'm happy,,,

Hope you can figure wome trick to kep her

you could always convert to french fry grease engine. Gotta get a diesel engine and the conversion kit which is only like $1000.
