i need help tuning/adjusting my holley 1945 carb. it is on a stock 225 with a 2 1/2 exhaust. i bought the carb reman at advance and put the mr gasket air cleaner assembly on. now its quick on the line so to speak but around 20 or so it lags and then pulls trough. i feel i havent adjusted it properly. can someone go through the steps of idle and mixture for an a novice /6er. how do you adjust idle w/o an rpm gauge? all appreicated, dustin |

You guess and are likely to get poor results unless you are familiar with what you are doing. That's why a gauge is suggested1945 is hardly a performance carb. I don't know specifics for tuning one yet, so I will allow others to offer suggestions. |

Procedure to dial in the 1945: pop hood remove air filter assy remove all linkage, hoses, etc from the carb remove the carb from the manifold throw it away get anything except a 1945 (even one 1920) that should cure the problem on your 1945... |
