Hi Boys!

I am planning on running new fuel lines for my (2)- 1bbl Carter set up, I picked up some Russel Pro Flex -6 AN braided lines from Summit but I can't figure out what size adaper I need to attach to the fuel bowl fittings on the carbs and to the fitting on the fuel pump. My meas. shows an OD of 7/16th for the carbs. Not sure of the size of the pump am assuming it's the same. Does this sound right? Can I get a 7/16th to 1/2 adapter in brass?

Also is the ID of the - 6 AN line 5/16?

Any body do this yet?

AN sizes are x/16's OD for tubing...... The OD of an AN-6 tube would be 6/16, ID 5/16 . When going to flex hoses, the size designation is the equivalant of what AN-6 tube would be, so YES a AN-6 is 5/16 (minimum, as I also have seen listings indicating 11/32 ID)

The threads on a AN-4 fitting are 7/16-20, so maybe a AN-4 to AN-6 adaptor can be used................

Hi boys! Have you missed me?

I have some info in regards to the fitting size for the fuel bowls on Carter bbs single barrel carbs. I not sure if this is universal but it is what came with my rebuilts from summit racing. (1/2-20).

I was able to find a 1/2-20 to -6an bulkhead carb fitting in anodized blue at a crazy shop in LA. "VF Sales at 10514 Burbank Blvd. N. Hollywood" for any one local. None of the big suppliers carry it. ( Summit, Russel, Earl, ETC.) At least thats what they told me?

I plan on doing a little plumming this weekend. Hope to have some hot photos soon! :P
