i did the volare brake swap o to my dart last week and i love the feel of the brakes so far. i also put on lower control with the sway bar tab. however the sway bar i pulled from another 70 dart doesn't fit. the sway bar is too wide. i went back and looked at the dart and saw the tabs were at the end of the control arm where as the the arms on my car have the tab in the middle of the arm. is there a sway bar available to make these arm work or should i swap arms? zedpapa |

Up through 72 sway bar equipped A Bodies had the mounting tabs out at the end of the LCA. Starting in 73 the tabs were moved inboard with a resultingly shorter sway bar. This sway bar actually passed through the front of the K Frtame. Sounds like someone has replaced your LCAs with 73 and up LCAs. The 73-up sway bars might work on the 72 and lower cars (I don't know for sure - others will probably chime in). If it will, I've got a 73-up sway bar I'd trade you for those 70 LCAs with the tabs at the end. |
