Talked to Norman he has seven blockages and is not going to Memorial hospital until in the morning. His sprit is good and said to tell everybody he wished he could be at Wilksboro. Norman loaned me 600 dollars in late sixtys when no body else would. I just had to have that 65 Buick Special. Racing is racing but the Slanted Family is Family Thanks Ron Parker

I hope he's alright. My Dad had open heart surgery last year because of 6 heart blockages.

Best of luck!

Good luck Norman! Sorry to hear this but it does sound like they caught it before he had any kind of heart attack. Hopefully they can get it taken care of and NORM! will be back at the track in no time..

Ditto on the address.

Ron,

Please tell Norm and his family that he is in our thoughts and prayers. We need to pass a card around at N. Wilks as well. :(

First time I've heard of someone missing a race to get their heart ported. While they are in there, have them install some oversized valves. By next race, Norm could be a whole second faster climbing into his car.

I'm sure NORM will be a champ on the operating table too. Best wishes to him and Elaine and he'll be back stronger than ever. Thanks for the update, Ron.

Oddly enough, I actually heard of this by phone first, via Seymour last night. Important news travels fast.

All the best to Norm!

Lou
