Slant Six Forum :: Rallye Wheel Fit For 75 Dart

I have come to the conclusion that to get a nice look without breaking the bank, I am either going to go with the rallye's from summit. 14x6 or if I can come up with a little more dough maybe the cragar SS's.

OK!, Now who can tell me what (offset-backset spacing)I will need to order

AND what size of tires I can tuck inside of my fenderwells.

I would like of course like to get a little smaller in the front and larger in back.

Any ideas maybe (drool) pictures?

I like everything about the way you car looks with those wheels and its level stance. Did you have to have rear spring work?

I have looked at EBAY and other sources for cool and exciting wheels for my new (OLD) 75 Dart Swinger Hard Top. I have come to the conclusion that to get a nice look without breaking the bank, I am either going to go with the rallye's from summit. 14x6 or if I can come up with a little more dough maybe the cragar SS's. The facts are this. I have 10' non power drum brakes. I LOVE the look of the giant finned front drums, and with my /6 I have plenty of stopping power. The car it's self is never going to be a beauty show winner , but I still like it alot. OK!, Now who can tell me what (offset-backset spacing)I will need to order AND what size of tires I can tuck inside of my fenderwells. I would like of course like to get a little smaller in the front and larger in back. The car sets as stock with 30 years of spring sag in the back. I do intend to have my local spring shop give me a 3 inch boost as money permits. (for me it's cheaper that JC Whitney) Any ideas maybe (drool) pictures?? Chas///

Either choice will look good on a '75 Dart. You need to check whether your '75 with drum brakes has the 4" diameter ("small") wheel bolt circle, or the 4-1/2" diameter ("large") wheel bolt circle. Seems like a really bad idea to me. Means you have to carry two spares, and looks bizarre from any angle that lets you see both the front and the rear wheels at the same time. Anyway I am thinking if I go with the size tires that you are running, I probably should see how I like my car before I do anything ras, as it may look just fine. Thanks again Dan. I went (virtually) to summit to look at thier rallye wheels. After adding up the wheels, centers, and trim rings, the Cragars @ $125.00 ea. + proper lug nuts are beginning to look like a nice deal. *not available according to online catalog

I'm not sure Summit is necessarily the best source for Mopar wheels (or anything else, for that matter).

I'm cleaning up a set of five 14X5.5 rallyes I got at a West Texas junkyard for cheap. I like the looks of the rallyes, but I love the painted Salt Flat Specials. Wish I could afford a set.
