Hey,
I have a 85 dodge d100 with a built 360, it was a slant six truck......and I bought it done but the clutch fork was a bit to short, so I took it apart. I has the clip type fork, not the ball type.......so I order the correct fork for it and then I noticed there is no hole in the bellhousing for a ball type fork......so what year is this bellhousing?
do they make the clip type fork that's about 2 inches longer?
could I have the wrong z bar?
all these parts were ordered from napa

i have no idea what year your bellhousing is. there should be a date code stamped in the casting, but i think you need to pull the bellhousing out to see it. i am pretty sure the v-8 fork is a bit longer than the /6 (or vice-versa.) i think one is 10 and the other is 12 inches. i recently read some posts on moparts about this when i was piecing together the clutch linkage for my car. i think mopar performance also offers new v-8 forks with a new pivot (clip-type.)
hope this helps.
