I have a collection of '64 type D100 Dodge truck fsm's (NOT Haynes and such!) but nothing with the A-833 OD. After looking in Hemmings, on the web and other forums, I still haven't found a manual well enough described to let me know it is a Mopar FSM for that tranny. I don't care if it is on CD, prefer paper though. Can anyone direct me to a source or maybe sell me a 833OD FSM? I printed off some rebuild things from the web and am will rebuild using just that info if it all I can get (plus lots of rebuild experience with other trannys) but would really like to read THE manual, first. AND hear any gems of wisdom from other rebuilders! I like the idea of using 3/4 inch elec. conduit for the dummy of the counter shaft, for instance.
thanks

Did you swap in the tranny from another applicaiton? The fsm for the truck should include tranny info as well, assuming that tranny came in that year truck either stock or as a special order option.

For an A-833OD (not straight 4 speed), the plentiful and 'cheap' manual is the 1976 Plymouth,Chrysler, Dodge Body/Chassis/etc... manual.
Has all the 3,4, auto tranny sections in it, usually about $8 shipped if you find the right deal (I bought 2, one beater garage copy, one nice bed stand copy).

After that the 4 speed article on this web site provides all the tricks you will need to reassemble your A-833 OD, you will need a press or have a shop do that service for you for the bearings.

good luck,
