Folks,

I am about to rebuild a '79 head. I see that the manifold studs go into the water jacket. I have some nice stainless allen head studs with no shoulder as on the older type studs. I want to be sure these studs go in only as deep as needed and stay there and don't let water out. Would you all coat them with anti-sieze, or #26 rtf sealant, or loc-tite? I favor loc-tite on the theory if it glues them in, it should also seal, but can see how a pinhole could play havoc with that thinking. I could reuse the old studs, but hate to give in so easy.
