Well Friday night I hauled to the house a $100, 1972 Dart Swinger. So Saturday morning when I work up it was time to get a more thorough inspection. The body is pretty solid, straight doors, hood, deck lid, and roof. Looks to be a little rust around the rear window. Lower quarters behind the wheels were already removed, and there appears to be a little bondo in front of the rear wheel wells. Driver side fender has some rust, and the passenger side inner fender also has some rust. The floors are pretty solid with some surface rust and the trunk has some rust out on the passenger side. All the glass is in great condition, bumpers look really good. Rear end has been upgraded to an 8 1/4 but the front is still original small bolt pattern. There is also a great black dashpad that is perfect. I have uploaded a few photos to a yahoo profile http://photos.yahoo.com/bfour99 . Now I just need to find an interior (previous owner has a tan bucket seat interiro out of a Valiant) and some bits and pieces for the engine compartment. I already have a deal in the works for a low mileage 225/904 combo as well as a complete 198 motor. The wife saw a tangerine looking orange color on new VW beetle that she things is perfect for the body. Brian |
