Joel just changed the name of his hot rod shop from Joel's Hot Rod Shop to Busted Knuckle Custom Cars. He's been doing custom hot rod stuff for many, many years.

Joel is the person converting our '85 Plymouth Turismo to a Slant 6 Rear Wheel Drive Drag Car for us.

He does all sorts of custom car fabrication and custom paint.

He works on just about anything. From complete drag cars to custom chop top street rods or just about anything.

When we dropped off the Turismo he had a very sweet looking fastback Mustang that he was finishing up a paint job on and a complete T bucket that was just about done. There was also a '63 Ford Galaxy that he was converting from a 4 door to 2 door! He's usually got 5 or 6 projects going on at once.

Joel is a good ole Hot Rodder kinda guy in the very best sense of the word. He's a one man show, with the exception of a few friends that stop by routinely to help with heavy lifting and other odds and ends.

If you're looking for some custom fabrication or paint or a roll cage install or whatever in the North Georgia area, give him a call. He'll be able to take care of ya.

He's also an artist that does paint and sculpting.

I just saw the October 2005 issue of Hot Rod and on page 24 there is a picture of a neglected Superbird. The picture was sent in by Joel. They got his name wrong and called him Jack, but they mention that he runs a little hot rod shop near Chatsworth, GA.

Post subject:  Update: Joel is closing up shop

Just an update to let everyone know that Joel has decided to hang up his welder and get out of the hot rod business.

He just installed a roll cage and frame connectors in a Duster for me and said he would finish up the ladder bar set up on the '85 Turismo before he hangs it up for good, but he says he's done.

He has had the shop phone disconnected and removed the sign by the road.

Thanks to Joel for all of his work on our GodsRods projects!
