Does anyone know where I can find NOS guages that can fit directly into the dash of a 1971 Duster? I have seen such gauges in Chevy magazines that will replace broken stock ones, with cool looking mechanical/electrical gauges. |

I haven't seen any that are direct swaps, only generics that would require custom work. There are places that make generic plates to fit the a body dash, and you drill to suit your needs. I believe these are $100 or so for the blank plate. Places like Dakota Digital will take your dash and retrofit electronic gauges but its pricey. |

No such thing, to my knowledge. Your best bet is to have your original gauges restored, mechanically and cosmetically. There are numerous vendors that do so, but it ain't cheap. VM |

there are places rebuilding gauges, or you can do what I am doing and just replace the entire cluster with a fresh set, using the gauges that you would actually want to have. I am in the process of starting my own small business making custom gauge clusters. I won't be supplying the gauges, but I take existing housings and "change" the backing plate to whatever size and configuration of holes the customer wants for gauges. I will also be using multiple colors, so you could get the background in white, black, red, green, etc. If you are interested let me know. |
