without looking at the trans can u give me an estimate on what it would cost to have it rebuilt and parts

i think i have the at 904--not real sure......rectangle pan with on edge at an angle and its on a '74 dodge dart swinger 225 stock 1bbl and a 7.25 rear end. i think i broke the torque convertor or something....because she slips at idle to wot and going up hills and when put into gear she jerks really hard.......any suggestions[/quote]

Thats a 904 judging by the pan your describing...

I've put several transmissions through a reputable local shop here - they charge 600 for a basic teardown/rebuild, + whatever extra for parts that need to be orderd individually. I think total came out to mid 700's
