Post subject:  offset uca bushings--washers needed?

Hi all,

I installed the moog offset bushings in the UCAs. There are some silver washers in the box as well. Do those even fit between the UCA bushings and the brackets on the subframe? It doesn't look like there is a lot of room in there for these rather thick washers. Do I need them or do I toss them?

Thanks,

Greg

The old bushings I took out had kind of a washer at each end. So when I put the offset ones in I put the washers in. The washers kind of slip into
the end of the bushing. I remember one side being hard to slide back in
but by moving the knuckle forward, back, up, and down it finally went
back together.

I think the washers are needed though - they provide a surface to let the
upper a arm slide past the body brackets during suspension movement.

The washers are needed and can make for a tight, but doable, fit.

There should be no sliding in the UCA bushings once it's all torqued down - the rubber twists. If there is sliding there, it will likely loosen the cam bolts and screw your alignment.
