I'm considering swapping a 4 speed into my 62 Lancer and wanted to find out if the 63-66 A body pedal assembly will work in my 62. Or am I stuck trying to find a 60-62 assembly from a 3 speed car.

Thanks!

Menko

No, the '63-'66 swing pedal assembly won't fit or work in a '60-'62 car.

on a similar note, anyone know if pedals from a 74 A body will work in a 63-66 A body?

Don't believe so, no; you need a '63-'66 swing pedal assembly.

That depends on how much creativity you put into your linkage, of course. My '66 Dart has the gas pedal from an Aspen, along with its cable throttle linkage. Interestingly, the Aspen brake pedal cover also slipped right over my stock brake pedal.

Well...yeah, but gas pedals are a super-simple swap. We're not talking about gas pedals here, we're talking about clutch-and-brake pedals. Much harder to swap.
