I have a 318 cu in 77 Volare which needs a spider gear. I have located a 5th Avenue and a Lebaron with 7 1/4 rearends. Will they directly swap out or would it be better to just replace the spider gear only?

They will be a direct swap. - The gear ratios might be different than what you currently have, but otherwise than that they bolt right in.

When you swap the rear, grab the speedo gear out of the donor car's tranny (especially if you the rear ratio changes....)
