Say, Dennis, you said that you had a trick for bleeding the newer master cylinders with the aluminum bodies and plastic reservoirs? I am at my wit's end trying to get a hard petal, and I am willing to try anything right now.

Thanks,

Greg

Me, Dennis, or the real Dennis (Slantzilla)?

Well, I do have a bit of advice: The little diaphragm under the caps is quite small on the plastic reservoir - that's what makes up for the fluid loss during normal wear or bleeding brakes... If you seal them after you fill, then bleed, you can create a vacuum inside the master cylinder. at that point, air can suck into the (drum) wheel cylinders and you just keep bleeding them, pulling your hair and swearing - you KNOW how I know! So put the caps on when bleeding to keep fluid from splashing everywhere, but leave them loose!

P. S. , the calipers are installed bleeder screw up, right?
