Is there a difference between a 3 pd and a 4 spd /6 bellhousing??/
any casting numbers that would be relevant for either or both appreciated if anybody has a library?

Yes there is a difference. The only factory 4 spd /6 BH was cast iron in 64-65 and the alum od BH from around 75-85? Read the article on the home page of this forum. |

The bolt pattern on the back is different (one of the "ears" changed on the drivers side). Most 4 speed bells have mounts for both 3 and 4 speeds, the 3 speed bell is strictly for the 3 speed only... -D.Idiot |
