can anyone recomend a good air cleaner for the super six can?

Is it worth paying $40 for the fancy Air HOG deal? Any HP gains here?

Is the basic orange Fram one good or bad?

Don't buy Fram, and don't be tempted by the glossy ads for expensive nonstandard-type air filters (Airhog, K&N, etc.). They allow more dirt into your engine and give no benefit in return.

Wix (a/k/a NAPA Gold) or Purolator is a good choice.

Very tough to go wrong with Wix filters for any application. Make sure to get NAPA Gold, and not their second lines (Silver or "NASCAR").

I'm working on an interesting bit of oil filter research (regarding filter type, not filter brand)...news as it becomes available.

slantsixdan, you're probably already aware of this guy's research into oil filters, but it is an intersting read....he tears apart most of the common oil filters and rates them on various criteria.

just like you, he is anti-fram and pro-wix! lol

apologies if this link has already been mentioned recently.
