| Post subject: | Performance Book for a Slant Six Fan? |
I am looking for a performance book for a Slant Six fan. Someone who is interested in getting the maximum performance out of the Slant Six. It could be about turbocharging, supercharging, fuel injection, performance engine mods, carburetor super tuning or anything else. But it needs to be inspirational. Is there a book or books that do that for the SL6? bwhitejr |

Mopar Performance has a guide to six cylinder engines, but it has a few misprinted numbers, dubious recommendations, and other issues. Generic guides that can be useful include David Vizard's How to Build Horsepower and Smokey Yunick's Power Secrets. I've only read the first one, but heard good things about the second one. If you want to turbo a slant six, the only book I'd recommend about carbed turbo installations is Hugh MacInnes's Turbochargers. A bit dated, but I haven't seen any tips for prepping a carb for boost in print anywhere else. |
