about 15 years ago I bought a 74 duster for parts and one of the options on this car was factory smoked windows with rear window defroster. Does anyone know if their rare?If so what they might be worth? I've never seen them on another duster.

There were no "factory smoked" windows. There were two factory options available: Tinted glass/windshield only, and tinted glass/all windows. The tint wasn't "smoke" of any kind, it was a light green tint. Noticeable if you're carefully looking for it, but nowhere near as conspicuous as the aftermarket smoke/dark type tints. If you ran into smoked glass on an A-body, it was an aftermarket job.

Rear window defogger, fan type: Available on A-bodies starting in '60 or '61. Not as common in Arizona as in Alaska! A grid-type backglass defogger became available in '73 or '76 (can't remember which year) on Dusters, definitely available by '76 for other A-bodies.

this is in the corner of each window;tint then a small chrysler symbol then the PPG logo then SAFETY GLASS AS2 M27 6 26 74.I don't know why I said smoked I meant tint.As for the defroster it's not the blower type & if you could see it you can tell it's not aftermarket.This car was loaded it had buckets & console,light package,the rally type steering wheel,pb,ps,air, not dealer air but factory air,duel mirrors & even a hood release.unfortunatly the frame was to bad to save car but I still have all the pieces.

Any Duster with factory air would have tinted windows..By '74 it was not that rare.

Yep, the factory tinted windows were marked "TINT", but again, the tint was a light green.

yes the the tint is green,I just had a brain freeze when I said smoked. I think I spent to much time outside last week.
