i have 2.45 gears in my car right now. my tires are either 245/60/15 or 225/60/15. i found a chart that gave gear numbers but it only went down to 2.76. does anyone know of an equation i can use to find out what i need lower than that, or am i just going to have to live with an inaccurate speedo? thanks for your help.

Has an excel spreadsheet that will calculate the # of teeth needed on pinion.

Depending on the tooth count needed, you may also need a different speedo gear holder (housing). The low (number) ratio speedo gears got so small that a special offset holder was used.

thanks, that was very handy. where can i get those low number gear housings? i think i am going to need a 25 tooth gear. are they something i can just have a parts store order for me? thanks for your help.
