nope, the runners have too much of a difference in length. other 4bbl manifolds have a bigger plenum and uses runners that are closer to the same length. with runners that are closer together in length help the engine run more evenly and prevents cyls from going lean when the rest are just right. zedpapa |

I have seen one other one on one of the Bruner's race cars. It is probably no better or worse than an Offy. I would buy it just because it is odd. |

The Weiand and the Offy are the same - at least I remember them LOOKING to be from a side by side comparison oh, 21 years or so ago. I bought an Offy for mine and it made a HUGE difference in how the car ran - a second and a half and 7 miles an hour better in the 1/4 mile on a dead stock 185K mile 71 Demon. FYI, that thing sold for WAY too much. Last time I checked with Summit Racing, they had the complete Offy intakes in stock and they were like $185 - or thereabouts. Marc www.marcmedina.com |

They are if you have them polished. I had a polished Clifford. Owned it twice as a matter of fact. It looked pretty neat, and is now on a west coast race car. |

Actually I seen a n.o.s weiand intake go for $400+ on ebay. They must have really wanted it I dont see how it could perform any worse than a stock intake, and besides it' would definetly save weight if nothing else... I haven't compared the offy and clifford on the car, but I feel the offy is the better buy and from reccomendation is a better street intake. Offy's will run you about $250 from summit and come with the carb adapter. Clifford's will run about $300 and then you have to give $50 for the carb adapter! at shelling out in excess of $400. Id save a cool $100 and get the offy... Has anyone compared these intakes on the street and strip?? I'd like to know... |
