Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew if the different styles of steering wheels on darts are compatible? specifically, I have a 75 dart and was wondering if I can put a 67-69 wheel on it, one of the ones with the chrome horn ring. I have searched to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You should have no trouble at all with that swap.

I have to disagree Slantsix dan. The steering wheel will swap no propblem as you state. Estheticaly though the older style steering wheels have a musch smaller "center" or Horn button and with the later style steering columns you get an ugly gap.

Grant makes a nice install kit for there whells that is twenty dollars and would be easily modifiable for this aplication. It comes with a trim piece that covers that gap nicely.

I have put multiple 60s mopar steering wheels on my 70 Swinger, and finally went aftermarket, that is how I know.

That's a good point; the columns through '67 have a smaller diameter so while the wheel will work, there will be that gap. I believe the larger-diameter column started in '68 (that is the first year for the safety collapsible column), or it might've been in '69—whichever, it was definitely in place on all models by '70.
