Seems the total for damage from my spray bomb amounted to 1 dead piston and a ring set. He said the block will be saved at +.065", and a new piston is already here and on the rod. Block will be honed to straighten out the cylinder walls, and a cleanup deck cut too. Looks like I will have nice flat surfaces on both sides as he is putting my new head on this block. A set of head studs and we're done.
Not sure which car the motor will end up in, but either way it will have a magic box and button in it. I'm tired of feetsbrakin'. My goal is to jump from Sportsman to S/Pro at RT66.
