The factory stock heater in a '70 Valiant, if it is in proper repair, will work as well or better than any aftermarket unit you might choose to hack into the car.

For $35 bucks you can pick up a new heater core off ebay. Made in Canada, too. |

Are Canadian heater cores bigger to compensate for the the colder temps???????

The Canadian heater cores only have to meet Canadian Emmision standards. As long as you dont turn your heater on in Callifornia you should be fine. ALWAYS turn off your Canadian heater during emissions testing! Some US 77 Darts came stock with Canadian heater cores. |

My '69 Lancer 870 had one, too -- probably because it was a 12-passenger station wagon convertible, which is REALLY hard to heat up.
