Occaisionaly, usually after a long time in traffic, when I step on the gas my car will not accelerate, it does not stall, it feels like a long long long bog. If I take foot off the gas and flutter the pedal a little it eventually kicks back in and off I go. It only happens when I am reaccelerating from a stop, or on an on ramp. It is very sporadic. I have fuel flow (electric pump), my car does not stall. Just will not accelerate or rev up. Any theories (its is a Weber/Holley 5200 Carb, 904 Automatic Trans, Mallory Ign) Thanks, Tim |

Or, because it only happens under heat-soak conditions, I'm guessing the accelerator pump chamber is actually boiling or being syphoned dry. |

Those both sound like a viable solutions to start with first...because of the tilt of the ramp and sudden stop you might check your float level. Usually when you get a bog out like that, it's nice and lean so...you might also see if you have a vacuum leak somewhere too...(rechecked your carb mounting hardware?) good luck, -D.Idiot |
