Doug, Where is the majority of cylinder wear found in a 225? I was told in the bottom not the top like other engines. Are there any different traits in the cylinder to piston area compared to other engines? Phil |

I'm not Doug, but no, the 225 doesn't tend to wear the cylinders differently than any other engine. Most of the wear is at the top, not the bottom. |

Phil A 225 tends to have more top of the bore wear then the smaller 170, just because of the longer stroke puts more side load and piston speed on the cylinder walls. DD |
