I am currently trying to get my first slant six running. Its in a 64 Valiant wagon. Please forgive me, I don't know much about MOPAR. I have a 2bbl super 6 intake manifold and I need to buy a carb to fit it. What size and brand would you recommend? I plan to beef up the Exhaust, ignition, and intake. Please advise.
THanks

A lot of folks use Carter BBD. It's probably one of the easier carbs to use for this application. Because it was used by the factory in the Super Six, cables, kickdowns, and such fit. That is what I have on the shelf and plan to put on my '64, when I get around to it.
Others use assorted Holleys, including the Holley/Weber 5200 series progressive 2-barrels, and who knows what else.

Yep, a carefully-picked Carter BBD in good condition would be my pick to start out with.
