Post subject:  Clevite engine bearings for forged-crank Slant - sources?

I'm looking for rod/main bearings for my upcoming engine builds. I'd really like to use Clevite/Michigan 77 bearings (0.010" under), as I've had great success with them before. Has anyone bought these recently, or have a source for them? I've tried a couple of places (Flatlander Racing is one) and they don't list numbers anymore.

Thanks much,

Lou

Lou, I have some extra Michigan 77 rod bearings -.010. No Michigan or Cleavite mains. $15.00 a set, can bring them to Pigeon Forge. Any chance you have an extra Early "A" manual steering column and wheel? Doesn't make any difference what kind of shifter. Going to use a PB. For race car, so function is the only requirement, except cheap.

Charlie - I will try to come up with a steering column for you and bring it to the banquet. Please bring along a set or two.

James - Thanks, I'll try PA and make sure they can still get them!

OK, according to the PA website, they have them and two sets are on the way to me. We'll see what shows up...
