Charrlie called me yesterday about header flanges and I suggested that I post links to "free-ware" jpg and dxf files of a general design. These files can be taken to any jobshop using a water jet or laser cutter and produced. Crank scrapers and other windage control devices are really our thing and I wanted to make these files available as a small way to support the Mopar community. Kind regards, Kevin Johnson http://www.crank-scrapers.com/SL6_HEADER_FLANGE.jpg http://www.crank-scrapers.com/SL6_HEADER_FLANGE.dxf |

I will look into getting my local shop (Hamilton's in Raleigh) to make these reasonably. Lou |

I have a water jet source if anyone is interested. I would need a pattern that you guys want...the one we use would not work. |

as a former waterjet programmer\operator, I suggest going with water over laser. the cut will be much cleaner and you wont lose any strength due to the heat cutting (like you would with a laser). you won't have any potential warping either. bummer is waterjet is hella expensive. the place I worked at wouldn't even take in a job unless it had a $500 minimum cost. buy in bulk folks! |
