No such adaptor; you need a V8 transmission.

my previous project car was a '62 fury 318/PB904 car. Trans case was diffrent than slant and diffrent from a SB 904 non pushbutton.

Juan wouldn't that PB be from poly 318? I should have said its a PB tranny from behind a 273. That should have the right pattern on it for whatever SB he's using AFAIK

not a big guru on V8 engines... can't tell the diffrence btwn a poly 318 or a LA318... never seen a 273 AFAIC and the very few big blocks that are around here looks all the same to me. Think is a "regular" 318 cuz the original engine was sitting on a corner when I bought the car. I swapped in a "normal" 318 argentine production... maybe the original engine was a 273... ???

273, the first LA engine, was introduced in mid '64 in the A-bodies, so wouldn't have been originally fitted to a '62. The 318 version of the LA was introduced in the US in 1967, in Canada (and all the countries to which Canada exported) in 1968. I don't know to what degree Chrysler Argentina were making their own engine designs in 1968, but it's very likely that the LA was introduced around the same time in Argentina as in North America.

The A bellhousing pattern is the same as the LA.

See above. They are different engines. Quick visual ID: The A engine's valve covers are held on by two bolts, one at the front and one at the back. The LA's valve covers are held on by multiple bolts on each cover.

so, it had to be an A or LA engine since our 4 (?) bolts per valvle cover 318 V8's bolted just right on the PB 904 tranny. No adapter plate required neither flexplate to crankshaft nightmare... I just threw in a made in argentina 318 and I had to fiddle a li'l bit with the converter's nose (I used sorta pilot bushing? ) but that was it.

plus, if it's of any help, the car was owned by local chrysler chairman, who was a valiants lover and racer... he managed our chrysler till the early '70s when Dodge GTX V8 saw the light. Our V8 engines wasn't made in argentina as I wrongly stated, they imported them from méxico 70-74, canada 74-77 and brazil 78-79

our transmisions options for that engine never included anything but A-233 manual 4 speeds with a raverse lockup trigger under the shifter's knob. I'm getting one of these trans tomorrow... I'll give up on my 904 and go manual 4 speed :D
