I've got an Erson 268 sitting in a box here beside me that's destined to go in a truck w/in the next month or so. I called and talked to the Erson tech line (see this thread) and he they guy told me that if I wanted to play it safe, I should stick with the 254, but I would /probably/ be happy with the 268 if I wanted to take the risk. My fingers are crossed that I don't have to resort to buying a higher stall TQ. I'd call and talk to Tom anyway... he was fun guy that seemed to know his stuff.

Thanks! I am looking for something that will add more torque and low RPM power for my brother's van. It has a stock cam in a fresh (under 10k miles) rebuilt engine but he wants to load it up and tow a trailer. I think I may go ahead and install this RV cam.

The 111 Lobe Centers will give the cam lots of low RPM power.
The lash on the intake side seems a bit loose, you most likely could tighten-up on that.

Personally, I doubt you would notice a difference between a stock 71-up cam and that Erson cam. Maybe if they're both degreed in just right, but I still doubt it.
