I rebuilt a Chrysler 2.2 Turbo (Slant Six based engine) engine for my '89 Spirit. I made a 3 part series out of the entire process on my website. Getting the engine from the junkyard, the cleaning & rebuilding process, and installation into the car on a side street in a residential area. It's in episodes #124, 125, and 126. "More Auto Repair". Thanks for posting this; I'm going to take a look at the videos when I get some time. I'm building a Spirit, too ('92 R/T clone w/Mexican-specs 2.5 Turbo 2). If I had started the project after gas prices went up, I might've picked a 2.2 instead. What kind of specs did you equip your engine to, which transmission are you running, and what kind of mileage do you get? |
