I have a 1963 Holley 390 (from a Rambler) that I want to run on
my slant (which has Clifford Headers).
It does not have the PCV inlet at the bottom because it was pre-smog.
I know I could run a spacer plate with an inlet, but I'm trying to keep the
height low. I've been told I could run the PCV into the manifold (Idon't have it sitting in front of me, but it seems like it's located over #5 runner.)
How will this (the dirty mixture) affect the incoming air/fuel mixture?"
Also, I am planning on spraying it occasionally w/ a 100 shot of nitrous
in bracket racing.

You didn't say what manifold you're running, but I would hesisatate to use a vaccuum tap that's in a runner because that cylinder would end up leaner. Add some nitrous and you could melt a piston w/o too much problem.

Yep, the tap on runner 6 is OK for low-volume vacuum (operating heater controls, etc.) but high volume constant flow from PCV will cause #6 to run lean.

Drill and tap the plenum at the outboard (driver's side) end of the manifold to accept a fitting with pipe thread on one end and a 3/8" hose nipple on the other.

If you're mani has EGR provisions, you can also make a block-off plate, and then drill a hole that lines up w/ the vacuum side, then tap it for a hose barb.

I got an EGR plate at the junkyard today. I will flip it around,
and tap a hole for a 1/8" NPT fitting, then put in a 1/8" NPT to 3/8
hose brass adapter. That should work, right?

Yeah... never thought about modifying an actual EGR valve plate for that though... good idea.
