Has anyone had any success using a Weber carb on their /6? If so, what size did you use and how did you adapt it to your intake? I'm probably not doing something right but I'm tired of fighting the lackluster performance of my Carter BBD.

I used a 38/38, off a ford 2.8 v6, and it worked ok as it was.
I just made a simple adapter, to fit the stock 2bbl intake, and a mess of a kickdown linkage.

Here are some pics of what I did. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/658846/5

The 5200 Holley/Weber. Better performance and mileage! This is a more complicated swap. I went and found a Vega 5210 progressive carb. It’s the same as the 5200, just the GM version. I did get an electric choke from a Pinto that fit. Found an adaptor at stove bolt that was a decent price.
The 2bbl intake is better for performance and mileage. The 2bbl has a much better flow than the 1bbl intake. I only had the 1bbl intake and made do with that. I still had better gas mileage and power over the 1bbl carb.
The way I have my carb set on the intake manifold I had to cut about a 1/8 of an inch off the studs. This allowed the adaptor to sit flush on the intake manifold spacer. I used the throttle mechanism from the Vega to help me hook up the gas cable and the auto kick down. I have a 904 auto. If you have a stick it’s not as big of a deal. Just hook up the gas cable.

I have a two barrel setup now. What about the Weber on a Dodge Colt or a D100? Is there any chance to use it or is it a one barrel?

Your 2bbl intake is the best thing to have for this swapp. Are you saying you want to use a 2bbl. webber off a dodge colt or a D50(D100 is a full size truck)? You could probably use those webbers, but you will probably need to change the jet sizes. The engine in the colt would be to small. The D50 engine might be big enough that you could use the carb without changing jets.
