I tried to order a rebuild kit for my Carter carb on my 73. It's a super six setup and the only number I could find was 0-2691. The guy at the parts store said that wasn't any of the numbers he had, did I get the right number or is there another one I need to look for? The carb is still on the car, I'm going to pull it off tomorrow, I just want to make sure I get the right #. Thanks |

The number you found is a casting number, not the carb number. If there's no aluminum tag secured to one of the bowl screws bearing a 4-digit number with a suffix of "S", "SA" or "SB", then the carb number's gone. Just order the carb kit for a '78 Aspen with 225 and 2bbl and you'll be fine. |
