My son and I just purchased a new (used) two barrel intake and we want to know what two barrel carburator is recommended as we will be purchasing a new one of those soon. If you could provide any additional information like model number, vehicle type and year model of vehicle to ask for at the part's store we'd appreciate it. Thanks!

if you want to try something different, i have a holley 4150 2 barrel i was rigging up on my 2 barrel intake. did not finish but can let you knw how to mount the carb and the adapter if you are interested. will take drilling for small holes in the carb flange on the intake to mount adapter plate then you would have to rig up the linkage. This is a lartge 2 barrel carb. email grthigpen@bellsouth.net if you might be interested in the setup. will ship carb and adapter for $75 including the shipping....I am going with a WEBER now GRT

I believe you would have a Holley 2300, the 4150 is a 4 barrel carb...(I think Holley made a 2150, but that's like an old non-standard model).

Mounting to a super six intake, just requires some common sense, a re-engineered kickdown, and a Mr. Gasket #1937 carb adaptor...you can also blend the adaptor and intake for better flow of A/F mix, but as it stands on a stock engine it's only gonna flow what the cam and port allow.

sorry my mistake, it is a holley 2 barrel carb off of a 1974 dodge 400 cid v-8 engine. R-6886-1A. big two barrel carb and even though i made an adapter for it, there are factoiry ones out there... sorry for the miss ont he type i am working on too many projects. It is a straight 2 barrel, not progressive. GRT

it fine if you have an an open exaust but it will like gas....it's like running a small 4 barrel thats not progressive. have used this on a 250 chevy 6 cylinder and it ran fine once i got it on a good intake and a set of headers. but again it liked gas.

I think you have a Holley 2245...That is not my favorite 'big' two barrel...I have had better success on 2V big blocks with the 2210 or the 'big BBD'...

In all cases these are not meant for use on anything short of a 360+, and will be very thirsty.
